1. Introduction

TrainLoop (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting any information related to your use of the TrainLoop app and its Wear OS companion app (collectively, the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes, how it is handled, and your rights in connection with that data.

By using TrainLoop, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Health & Activity Data

The TrainLoop App processes the following types of health and activity data during your workouts:

Heart rate (BPM) — measured in real time via your Wear OS device sensors.
Estimated calories burned (kcal) — calculated based on your workout activity.
Physical Activity — we use the motion sensor to detect steps and workout state (Activity Recognition).
Background Access — the App accesses body sensors even when the screen is off or the App is not in the foreground, to ensure continuous workout recording.
Phone State — the App detects incoming calls solely to pause or silence alerts and not interfere with your call.

This data is processed entirely on your device. It is NOT transmitted to our servers, stored in the cloud, or shared with third parties.

2.2 Data We Do Not Collect

TrainLoop does NOT collect, process, or store the following:

Your name, email address, or any account information.
Location data or GPS coordinates.
Device identifiers or advertising IDs.
Financial or payment information.
Any personally identifiable information (PII).

2.3 Use of Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Health Tracking: Data is used exclusively to calculate workout performance (heart rate zones, calorie burn).
Foreground Service: The App maintains an active “Health Service” to guarantee the timer and recording do not stop accidentally.
Notifications: Use of alerts to notify the end of an interval or provide a workout summary.

3. Storage and Security

All workout data is stored locally on your device (Phone or Watch). We do not have access to this data. Data is not sold to third parties and storage is primarily local. If you uninstall the App, the locally stored data will be deleted in accordance with your device’s operating system policies.

4. Data Retention

TrainLoop stores workout-related information locally on the user’s device. Data is retained only while the application remains installed or until the user manually clears the app data.

No personal data is permanently stored on external servers.

5. Data Deletion

Users may delete their data at any time by:

Uninstalling the application.
Clearing the application storage from Android device settings.

Once removed, locally stored data cannot be recovered.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may interact with system-level health services (such as Android Health Connect or Google Fit) if you explicitly grant permission. This data can be read from or written to Health Connect to integrate with other health apps of the user. These interactions are governed by the privacy policies of those respective services.

7. Child Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or process any data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “Effective Date.”

9. Limited Use of Health Data

Our application complies with Google Play’s health data policies. We only access the sensors necessary for fitness functionality and do not transfer this data to data brokers or advertising platforms.
